The first judges conference opened in Misrata on Tuesday. The two-day event, sponsored by the Supreme Judicial Council and in collaboration with the Justice Ministry, focuses on the independce of the judiciary.
Sessions have included the judiciary and the rule of law and the means by which judicial independence can be guaranteed.
A number of individual research papers is also being presented.
