Kufra Airport reported last Friday (8 May that) its skies are witnessing a surge in air traffic these days, coinciding with the Hajj season.

It reported that flights from various countries continue to arrive, transporting pilgrims to Jeddah and Medina airports, and then return to bring back further groups of pilgrims.

The skies over Al-Kufra have become a bustling air corridor, almost constantly filled with aircraft, a continuous scene reflecting the importance of this air route and the ever-increasing volume of traffic, the airport added.
