Sources have revealed to Libya Herald that the Libyan Business Council (LBC) will be hosting a Spanish trade delegation in Tripoli between 2 to 6 February. The event will be held in cooperation with the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade and the Commercial Section of the Spanish Embassy in Libya.
The sources revealed that the visit will include B2B meetings and field visits for (at the time of publication) 13 Spanish companies within the Spanish trade delegation specialised in the agricultural sector.
The companies are:
AGRAGEX, AZUD, GRUPO CHAMARTIN, DAYMSA, DEX IBERICA, ITC, NOVAGRIC, RKD, RUFEPA, ZUCAMI, SILOS CORDOBA, INAGROUP, and AGROCHEM.
The visit aims to enhance trade cooperation between Libya and Spain and exchange technical and commercial expertise between Libyan and Spanish companies and provide a distinguished opportunity to expand business networks and build strategic partnerships in the agricultural sector.

Libyan companies expected to participate in the activities of the Spanish trade delegation’s visit are those operating in the following fields:
- Importers and distributors of irrigation systems.
- Importers and distributors of agricultural equipment.
- Importers and distributors of animal health and nutrition products for poultry and livestock.
- Major companies in the field of poultry farming.
- Major animal feed manufacturers.
- Greenhouses, irrigation and water treatment projects
- Grain traders.
- Flour mill companies.
The visit includes organising field trips for Spanish companies to some Libyan farms and agricultural facilities.
Libyan Spanish Business Forum to be held in Q3/4 of 2025 Finally, it was also revealed that this Spanish trade delegation visit to Tripoli will also pave the way for organising a Libyan Spanish Business Forum – in Madrid or in Tripoli - in the second half of 2025. The LBC will also be a co-organiser of this event.
