Benghazi’s Elmreisa Free Zone (EFZ), with consultancy from Italy’s Saipem, is studying the establishment of an oil maintenance and service centre within its zone.

The news was revealed on Monday after a workshop was held on the initiative at the headquarters of the Arabian Gulf Oil Company, under the auspices of the National Oil Corporation and the Arabian Gulf Oil Company.

The workshop involved companies affiliated with the oil sector and companies outside the sector targeted by the services that the proposed services centre will provide.

A presentation to introduce the project and its objectives in terms of localizing modern technologies, providing technical services and maintenance services for the main equipment in factories and production units, ensuring the movement of the national economy, providing job opportunities for national competencies, and giving an idea of ​​the progress of the project.
