The Central Bank of Libya strongly condemned the kidnapping of its banking operations manager, Fathi Al-Haji.
In a statement released today, the CBL expressed its solidarity with Mr Al-Haji's family and called on entities charged with implementing the law to urgently take steps to ensure his safe release.
No further details of the kidnpping were available.
