The Tripoli-based Audit Bureau suspends four NCB employees for corruption.

London, 18 March 2016:

The Audit Bureau announced Thursday that it has suspended four National Commercial Bank (NCB) employees for corruption.

It named the four as:

Mohsen M. A. Benmansour – Manager, Electronic Cards

Akram S. A. Newesa – Manager Accounts – Electronic Cards

Abdelsalam M. Alareid – Deputy Manager – Accounts – Electronic Cards

Mohamed A. Billagha – Internal Auditors – NCB Dahra

The Audit Bureau has since revealed that the above have been referred to the Public Prosecutor for the legal process to take its course.

It did not give details of their precise alleged crimes, but it is widely assumed that since they worked at the Electronic (debit card) department, their alleged crimes relate to foreign exchange crimes through NCB’s Visa debit card.
