Tobruk, 25 August 2014:
A member of the House of Representatives has today confirmed to the Libya Herald that the parliament did send a request to the Zintani forces to withdraw from their position in the capital, including Tripoli International Airport.
Tobruk representative, Saleh Hashim told this newspaper this morning: “We have indeed requested all fighting factions in Tripoli to withdraw and observe a ceasefire. The Zintanis have responded positively to our call”
He added “This will show Libyans and the world the groups that respect orders from the legitimate authority in Libya”.
