Tripoli, 23 July 2014:

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has denied rumours that it had instructed Libya to rid Tripoli International Airport of armed groups and that it would not allow international flights in and out of the country until it did.

A spokesperson for IATA told the Libya Herald that the association had not issued any statement on Libya. He said exactly the same rumour, equally unfounded, had circulated a year ago.
