Benghazi, 19 February 2014:
A Benghazi judge survived an attempted assassination this morning after his car exploded outside the South Benghazi Court where he worked.
Spokesman for Benghazi Joint Security Room Ibrahim Sharaa told the Libya Herald that the judge was in a critical condition in hospital following the attack which left him with particularly severe injuries to one leg.
Investigations into the attack are ongoing.
