Tripoli, 8 October 2013:
A group of armed men stormed the Prime Minister’s office yesterday, claiming they had not been paid for several months.
The men apparently belonged to Battalion 166, which operates under the Amy Chief of Staff. They entered a number of offices and damaged property, including breaking some CCTV equipment, according to a staff member.
Following negotiations with officials from the ministry who promised to settle the outstanding wages, the armed group left the building without resistance.
There have been a number of similar assaults on the Prime Minister's office this year.
