Medical staff and patients fled in panic when a group of gunmen burst into Tripoli Central Hospital this evening and began firing their weapons. SSC units arrived quickly at the Shara Zawia location and arrested a number of the attackers. It is not known if anyone was injured by the gunfire. It is equally unclear who the assailants were nor why they had stormed the hospital.
