Wednesday, 1 May, will again be an official holiday this year. Government departments will be closed, as will banks and other businesses.
The international workers’ holiday first became a national holiday last year.
The other public holidays this year are: Eid Al-Fitr (end of Ramadan, 8 August), Arafat Day (14 October) Eid Al-Adha (15 October), Liberation Day (23 October), Islamic New Year (4 November) and Independence Day 24 December.
