Washington DC, 12 September U.S.-Libya Business Association (USLBA) Executive Director Chuck Dittrich today released the following statement on the death of U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and others who were killed or wounded during the attack on the U.S. Mission in Benghazi, Libya. “We are deeply saddened by news of the death of Ambassador Stevens and other staff killed or wounded during the attack on the U.S. Mission in Benghazi. “Many of us have had the privilege to have known and worked with Ambassador Stevens, who had a great passion and love for the Middle East and devoted his life to improving relations and understanding between the United States and countries in the region, including Libya. “Chris was an incredibly talented and dedicated diplomat, who died as he lived, helping others. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and those of the other personnel who were killed or injured during the attack.”
