Dear Editor,
My late husband spent several years in Libya installing telephone exchanges. He found the Libyan people to be a most courteous and helpful and peaceful people. He was never impeded in his work. He was greeted by people as they passed him. Soldiers were relaxed and did not try and impede his work in any way.
I am deeply saddened that this event has occurred. I do not feel it is a reflection of Libyan opinion.
It seems that the man responsible for the film does seem to not realise the scale of the offence he has caused.
