Tripoli, 23 April:
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is to visit Libya and Tunisia next week it has been reported by both the Palestinian and Tunisian sources.
According to Tunisian media, he will arrive in Tunis for a three-day visit on 28 April. He will arrive in Libya on 1 May.
He was invited to Libya by NTC chairman Mustafa Abdul Jalil.
According to Palestinian foreign minister Riad Malki, Abbas’ talks in both places are part of a tour of Arab capitals to assess views on negotiations with the Israelis and ascertain the level of Arab backing for them.
