Benghazi, 9 March 2012:
A massive fire had gutted one the markets in Benghazi on Friday. However, there were nor reports of casualties.
Officials said the fire broke out in a carpet shop in what is know as the Egyptian Market — the main furniture market — and then quickly spread destroying most of the shops. Initial investigations suggest that the blaze was caused by an electrical short circuit.
