Some 54 ambulances, fire and rapid rescue vehicles have arrived in Libya as a gift from Kuwait.

The Kuwaiti ambassador in Tripoli, Mubarak Al-Adwani, described the aid a "duty" to towards the Libyan people.

At the end of December a Kuwaiti ferry arrived in Benghazi with medical equipment, fire-countering machines, fire engines and 36 ambulances on board, donated by the Kuwaiti government.
